Team info:

You’ll be part of a brand-new team that has responsibility for developing and maintaining the OX Cloud MTA platform. You’ll be working closely with the Cloud Operations team, but also across our in-house functional teams, including Support and Engineering Services.
You’ll also be working in a large-scale operational environment, applying architecture and technology choices that enable a highly reliable, stable, and secure MTA platform. As part of this, you’ll be working on a process of continuous improvement to steadily improve the platform with minimum impact on the mail service.

Our tech stack:

• Common protocols/standards SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DANE
• Our server deployment, configuration, and management use Openstack, Kubernetes, Chef, Terraform and Ansible
• Coding languages include Golang, Python or Ruby
• Of course, our operating system is Linux

Your new job:

• You’ll own and maintain the strategic OX Cloud MTA project and together with your colleagues you will build, test, and maintain the code and policies present in the OX MTA solution.
• You’ll have responsibility for designing and implementing processes to handle and avoid abuse on the OX Cloud Platforms – we are looking at stepping up our capabilities around abuse detection and response.
• You'll help deliver ever-increasing workload efficiencies through increased systems automation and monitoring.
• You'll work across departments to advise and guide product delivery in order to achieve team goals, as well as prioritized projects.
• You'll be responsible for handling the IP warm up process and the RBL delisting process.
• You'll develop and share knowledge of abuse analysis/investigation tools and techniques with the rest of the team.

Your background:

• You have a strong background as a delivery engineer, anti-abuse engineer or perhaps systems engineer with focus on security.
• You have a good overview of the MTA and AVAS vendor-space and you enjoy finding new ways to automate your daily workload eg. delivery monitoring or abuse handling
• You have a passion for trouble shooting and you are driven to find answers to the latest security or deliverability challenges.
• You are driven to continually conceive and test new ways to detect and prevent abuse of our platform.
• You are used to keeping up to date with upcoming standards and you are not afraid of reading up on the occasional RFCs.
• You can effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing across all levels.
• You are a team player and you love to share your knowledge and learn from others.
• You are motivated and creative and want to connect the world through Open Source technology.
